We’ve all been there. Most of us occasionally get stuck in an emotional or physical hamster loop. Sometimes, no matter how much we try to stay positive, fear of the statistical outcome of our diagnosis can be emotionally and physically debilitating. And living with the uncertainties of a chronic illness like MS, can make even the simplest of tasks, like going to the grocery store or attending a family event seem overwhelming.
So, we procrastinate in taking action, creating distractions and a multitude of excuses that can make the task at hand seem more difficult than it already appears to be.
When you have lived in a place of fear, doubt and physical weariness for so long, trying something outside your comfort zone or trying new ways to move beyond your illness, may seem pointless.
If you find yourself in that place, then the power of fear is keeping you from taking action towards the life you really want. It’s keeping you stuck.
Fear may be telling you that where you are, is as good as it’s gonna get.
I’ve been there. I understand how debilitating fear can be. Nineteen years ago, the fear of losing mobility in my legs was so powerful, that it actually began to manifest. But here’s what I’ve learned and have been teaching my clients since then. The three key elements to get unstuck and promote healing are:
- Intention = Thoughts ~When you declare your intention, you gain the support of your subconscious mind. For example; writing your I Am statements before going to sleep or first thing in the morning you can set the intention to find things to be grateful for throughout the day.
- Purpose = Action ~ “Your imagination creates the inner picture that allows you to participate in the act of creation,” – Wayne Dyer Get clear on what you want. Imagine it. See it as happening.
- Practice = Repetition ~ Writing your “I Am” statements, feeding your body the proper nutrition and practicing specific movements are physical actions that help solidify your intentions and begins to retrain your brain (your conscious mind) to participate in the act of creation with your subconscious mind.
Utilizing these three key elements will help you retrain your brain, empower your subconscious mind, eliminate the power fear has over you and get unstuck so you can reclaim your life!
“Attention energizes, and intention transforms. Whatever you put your attention on will grow stronger in your life…. Intention, on the other hand, triggers transformation of energy and information.” Deepak Chopra
